Privacy notice

What we collect, where it lives, and how to ask us to delete it.

SocioApps Foundation is a Section 8 / non-profit registered in India. We collect the minimum information needed to run a volunteer waitlist and to write to you when an app you signed up for opens. Nothing else. No sale, no third-party sharing, no profiling, no marketing list.

What we collect

When you sign up for the volunteer waitlist (the only form on this site), we collect:

  • Name — so we know how to address you.
  • Email address — so we can reach you when the app opens.
  • Role — volunteer, partner organisation, or press — so we send you the right invitation.
  • App selection — SecureMe, Chakshu, Sevarthi, or all three.
  • Submission timestamp + your IP address + user-agent string — standard anti-spam telemetry, kept for 90 days then discarded.

We do not collect your phone number, your address, your photograph, your date of birth, your government ID, or your social media handles.

Why we collect it

One reason only: to invite you when the app you signed up for opens for closed beta. We do not run a marketing list, we do not send newsletters, and we do not share your details with anyone outside the Foundation.

Where it lives

  • Submissions are written to a Cloudflare Workers KV store and forwarded to an internal Telegram channel monitored by the Founder. The stored record is encrypted at rest by Cloudflare and accessible only to Foundation team members.
  • Confirmation emails are dispatched via Resend (Tokyo region, ap-northeast-1) using the verified socioapps.in sender domain. Resend stores the send log; we do not retain a separate copy.
  • The site itself is served from Cloudflare Pages. Page-view analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) are aggregate and anonymised — no cookies, no per-visitor tracking, no advertising identifiers.

How long we keep it

We keep your name + email + role + app selection until the app you signed up for has launched and you have either accepted the invitation or asked us to delete you. After app launch + 12 months of no engagement, we delete your record. IP and user-agent telemetry is discarded after 90 days regardless.

How to ask us to delete you

Email [email protected] with the subject line delete my waitlist record. We act within seven days and confirm deletion in writing. No questions asked.

Compliance

SocioApps Foundation processes personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We act as the Data Fiduciary for the data described above. The Founder is the named Data Protection Officer until the Foundation appoints a formal DPO.

Children

The waitlist is intended for adults aged 18+. If you are signing up on behalf of a child or as a guardian, please write to [email protected] first — we will explain how the relevant app handles data about minors before you sign up.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when something material changes. The Last updated date above is the date of the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
